Trying to quit smoking

Today is the sixth day of not smoking, and I still really want one! What is quite interesting is that I can’t understand what exactly is driving me to give up. It’s really weird. I am using the patches which helps immensly.

Aside from kicking young chileren and animals, another good tip I recieved was to "treat myself to something" once I make it a week, a month etc… I like this idea but the price of patches isn’t cheap, £15 for seven days.

If anyone has any other good tips let me know…

You can do it. Just make sure no one sees you when you’re kicking those small children ;)

One thing I forgot to say… you get get patches much more cheaply on the NHS. That’s what I did last time I quite.

They make you come in every two weeks for a checkup and to get a new prescription for patches, but it’s worth it. They measure your ability to use oxygen, and you can really see a week-on-week improvement.

That’s a great idea. How much is a prescription these days? £12…?

    Cheers Jeff

I think I only had to pay about £6.50 for two weeks worth of patches.
